Vinjeåsenhytta - dagsturhytta i Aurland

The day-trip cabin in Aurland is located on Vinjaåsen. From Vinjaåsen there is a view down towards Aurlandsvangen, out over Aurlandsfjorden towards Flennes, Skjerdal and slightly up the valley towards Aurlandsdalen and into the fjord towards Flåm. The cabin is located along the path between Aurlandsvangen and Stegastein viewpoint and Bjørgo. The cabin is situated at approximately 300 meters above sea level, and the hike up to the day-trip cabin takes about one and a half hours from Aurlandsvangen at a moderate pace. The day-trip cabin is a low-threshold offer for hikers - a place to eat their packed lunch, get a bit of warmth, and browse books. Each cabin has a Nynorsk hiking library with many different books. The project is a collaboration between Sogn og Fjordane fylkeskommune, Sparebankstiftinga / Sparebanken Sogn og Fjordane, and the municipalities themselves. Read more: Website dagsturhytta.no.
