Mjølkeflathytta - dagsturhytta i Lærdal

The day trip cabin in Lærdal is located on Mjølkeflaten, above Lærdalsøyri. From the cabin, there is a good view over Lærdal, both towards Øyri and up towards Ofta and Hauge. It is approximately a 30-minute walk from Hedler (trailhead) and 0.9 km. It is possible to walk a round trip to Stødno and back. One can also walk Stødnavegen from the hospital and join the trail from Stødno. The day trip cabin is a low-threshold offer for hikers - a place to eat your packed lunch, get a little warmth, and browse books. Each cabin has a Nynorsk hiking library with many different books. The project is a collaboration between Sogn og Fjordane County Municipality, Sparebankstiftinga / Sparebanken Sogn og Fjordane, and the municipalities themselves.
