6 shelters, grill hut, toilet building, and various “relaxation oases” in the 12-hectare natural area. - The 12-hectare area, which formerly housed the amusement park “Varde Sommerland”, now appears as a recreational natural area, with the possibility to use all of the area’s facilities for free. There are six shelters that can be used all year round, and they cannot be booked in advance. From approx. April 1st to November 1st, there is access to toilets and water at both the shelters and the grill hut. There are various areas with tables/benches. By the toilet building, you will find 2 shelters, a campfire site, and space for 15-20 people and firewood. Additionally, in the area, there is a campfire hut with 3 shelters, a campfire site, and tables/benches. By the stream, there is a shelter with a view over the stream and meadow. It is possible to arrive both from land and via Varde Å by e.g., canoe or kayak. The Coast to Coast trail passes by the area.
