In Varde Sommerland, there are a total of 6 shelters, a grill hut, a toilet building, and various “relaxation oases” in the 12-hectare natural area. - The 12-hectare area, which previously housed the amusement park “Varde Sommerland,” now appears as a recreational nature area, with the possibility of freely using all of the area’s facilities. There are five shelters that can be used year-round, and they cannot be booked in advance. From approx. April 1st to November 1st, there is access to a toilet and water at both the shelters and the grill hut. There are different areas with tables/benches. By the toilet building, you will find 2 shelters, a campfire site and firewood, and space for 15 people. In this area, there is a campfire hut with 3 shelters and tables/benches. By the river, there is one shelter. It is possible to access the area both from land and via Varde Å by, for example, canoe or kayak. It is connected to the coast-to-coast trail.
