Lejrplads med shelter - Avernakø

Campsite for 15 people, with a shelter (5 people) and a campfire site. Nearby, there is also a lunch hut and a toilet. Naturstyrelsen owns an area of 12 ha on Avernakø, where in connection with an EU-supported LIFE project, ponds have been established to promote the habitats of the European Fire-bellied Toad. This has been successful, and Avernakø now hosts one of only 8-9 populations of European Fire-bellied Toads found in Denmark. Most recently, Naturstyrelsen, in collaboration with Faaborg Midtfyn Kommune and Geopark det Sydfynske Øhav, has installed a lunch hut, shelter, and toilet on the island. The site is scenically located with a view and access to the water.
