Booking and payment for accommodation and provisions: It is now possible to book/reserve a bed at our cabins. Reservation of a bed can be made via each individual cabin on UT.no or on DNT hyttebestilling. It is important to note that bed reservations are only valid until 7 PM on the day you have booked. If you wish to pay after your stay, use the new DNT app. This can be downloaded from Play or App Store. Before your trip, we recommend the checklist. Should difficulties arise with payment/using the payment app, you will find information on how to contact us at the cabin. Local trail report: None. Location: In the north of Dovrefjell, you will find this tiny and pleasant stone cabin with a combined sleeping and common room featuring two relatively spacious bunks. In 1936, Kristiansund og Nordmøre Turistforening (KNT) received the cabin as a gift from fellow townsman Harald J. Loennechen, and the association has operated it ever since. Skirådalskollen (1857 meters above sea level) and Storvasskollan (1813 meters above sea level) are nice peak hikes from the cabin. Routes to the cabin from Jenstad, Gammelsætra, Åmotdalshytta, Dindalshytta, and Åmotsdalen. Wild reindeer: The cabin is located in one of Norway’s 24 wild reindeer areas. Here you can learn more about how to be considerate of wild reindeer when traveling in the mountains. If you want to know more about the wild reindeer’s use of the mountains and how DNT works with wild reindeer and travel, you can find it at dnt.no/villrein. The cabin is closed during the calving period 06.04.26 - 18.06.26. The DNT key: Some of our cabins are locked with a DNT key. We have several sales points for the key; see overview and information on our website (scroll down a bit) here. If you land by plane at Kvernberget, you can pay for the key in advance and receive a code for the key box we have there. Loennechenbua is open, i.e., not locked with a DNT key. Registration in guestbook/payment for stay: Upon arrival at the cabin, sign into the guestbook and settle up before departure. Feel free to use DNT’s payment app! With DNT Hyttebetaling on your mobile, cabin-to-cabin trips become even easier! The app also works in cabins without mobile coverage - you then enter your purchases offline at the cabin and pay via the app on your mobile when you get coverage. About the cabin: The cabin is open all year round. The cabin is equipped with a gas hob and everything you need to cook food. There are no provisions at the cabin. Reserve a bed at Loennechenbua here: DNT hyttebestilling Electricity/mobile: There is neither electricity nor mobile coverage at the cabin. Beds/accommodation: 2 spacious beds. Mattresses available. In KNT’s cabins, we use a sleeping sheet or personal bedding (pillowcase, duvet cover, and sheet). Sleeping bags are not allowed inside the cabins due to hygiene and bed bug issues. Dog: The cabin is not equipped for dogs, and dogs must therefore sleep outside. Dogs are not allowed inside the cabin; this is to accommodate allergy sufferers. We ask that this be respected. Water: Fetched from the lake by the cabin. Garbage/Waste: If possible, take garbage/waste back from your trip. Information on garbage/waste disposal can be found in the information binder at the cabin. Tent: Tenting is not facilitated. If you are sleeping in a tent, remember to pay for a day visit/tent, and that the tent should be placed a good distance from the cabin. For stays at the cabin after 6 PM, standard overnight rates apply. Fishing: There is rich trout fishing in the lakes around Åmotdalshytta.
