Sæteren Gård is the children’s own hiking destination in Bærumsmarka, and the perfect accommodation for both families and larger groups. The old and venerable Main House from 1898 is rented out together with the newer Sleeping House. Together, they form an excellent unit with sleeping and dining space for up to 48 people. The place is thus well-suited for school groups, kindergarten groups, sports teams, band camps, etc. Rent Main House and Sleeping House: The Main House and Sleeping House are rented out to groups as a single unit. The Main House is then used for cooking, dining, and as a common room, while the Sleeping House provides a good night’s sleep and access to toilets and showers. Main House: The Main House contains a kitchen and dining hall on the first floor, as well as a library with science books for children and a common room on the second floor. The kitchen has the necessary equipment for preparing and serving food for 50 people. This includes a large refrigerator, two stoves, large pots, a coffee maker, a kettle, and a waffle iron. With a normal table setup on the first floor, there are approximately 40 seats. Sleeping House: The Sleeping House has up to 48 beds distributed across two 6-person rooms and three 12-person rooms. The rooms are furnished with family bunk beds, meaning a bunk bed with a 120 cm mattress downstairs and a 90 cm mattress upstairs. For children and good friends (who can share a 120 cm mattress), this means 48 beds. For others, it means 32 single beds divided into two 4-person rooms and three 8-person rooms. Room distribution: Rooms 1, 3, and 5 - Up to 12 people, distributed across 4 family bunk beds. Rooms 2 and 4 - Up to 6 people, distributed across 2 family bunk beds. What is included when renting Main House + Sleeping House: Accommodation, breakfast, and final cleaning are included in the price. The minimum group size is 15 people, maximum is 48 people. About Sæteren Gård: Sæteren Gård is the children’s own hiking destination in Bærumsmarka. The place is owned and operated by DNT Oslo og Omegn. Here you will find an activity tower, an obstacle course, a large sandbox, a willow labyrinth, bird’s nest swings, stilts, a sledding hill, and a large outdoor area to play in. Children can also go on an adventure on the fairy tale trail, or greet the chickens living on the farm. Sæteren Gård is a well-suited destination for day visitors and also has many accommodation options. Activities are seasonal. Café: Farm café where homemade cinnamon rolls, waffles, filled rolls, coffee, and soft drinks, among other things, are served. Organized activities: To make your stay at Sæteren Gård even more exciting, we offer various activity programs with skilled activity leaders for groups over 15 people. Choose between climbing and freefall jumping in the activity tower, zipline, archery and mega slingshot, as well as simple orienteering with fun group tasks along the way.
