Eventyrhytta - Sæteren Gård

See an overview of all accommodation options at Sæteren Gård here. Eventyrhytta is located at idyllic Sæteren Gård. It is a small and cozy cabin with a kitchen, common room, and loft. The cabin is furnished as a theme cabin about fairy tales and is richly decorated with elements from well-known fairy tales. Accommodation facilities It is possible to use mattresses in the loft, as well as the sofa bench in the living room. In addition, there is a bunk bed in the kitchen (180 cm). There are duvets and pillows for four people at the cabin. A sleeping sheet/liner or bed linen must be brought by yourself. Sleeping bags are not permitted at the cabin. Equipment Eventyrhytta does not have running water or electricity, but there is a good wood stove in the living room. Woodshed and outhouse in the immediate vicinity. In the kitchen, there is a gas hob for cooking and necessary equipment. Water Water is available at the accessible toilet in the main yard, approx. 200 meters from the cabin. Booking Eventyrhytta is unstaffed and booked as a single unit. The cabin is available from 2:00 PM on the day of arrival until 2:00 PM on the day of departure. The Tourist Association’s cabins are used for outdoor activities, and parties are not permitted at the cabin. The main rule is that you should leave the cabin in the condition you would like to find it, and preferably a little better than when you arrived. Necessary cleaning equipment is available at the cabin. Dogs If you are bringing a dog, you must book Spettehytta instead. Spettehytta is the only cabin at Sæteren Gård where dogs are permitted. About Sæteren Gård Sæteren Gård is the children’s own outdoor destination in Bærumsmarka. The place is owned and operated by DNT Oslo og Omegn. With us, you will find an activity tower, obstacle course, large sandpit, willow labyrinth, bird nest swings, stilts, toboggan run, and a large outdoor area to play in. Children can also go on an adventure on the fairy tale path, or greet the chickens living on the farm. Sæteren Gård is a well-suited destination for day visitors and also has many accommodation options. Activities are seasonal. Café A farm café where homemade cinnamon buns, waffles, open-faced sandwiches, coffee, and mineral water are served, among other things. The cafe is open Wednesdays from 11 AM-2 PM, and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 AM-4 PM. Opening hours and selection may vary during school holidays; see updated information here. Food service In addition to the cafe’s offerings, we serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner for children’s groups, businesses, and parties. Minimum group size is 15 people. Subject to availability. Organized activities To make your stay at Sæteren Gård even more exciting, we offer various activity programs with skilled activity leaders for groups over 15 people. Choose between climbing and freefall jumps in the activity tower, zipline, archery and giant slingshot, as well as simple orienteering with fun group tasks along the way.
