Sørefjordhytta - dagsturhytta i Hyllestad

The day trip cabin in Hyllestad municipality is beautifully situated by Sørefjordsvatnet with views towards Lihesten and across Åfjorden. It is located right by the trail to Hesjetinden, but the cabin and the surrounding area are a destination in themselves. The cabin has been named Sørefjordshytta after the lake it is situated by. It is about 1 km from Akse, about 4 km from Hyllestad, and about 2.3 km from Øvråshøgda. The day trip cabin is a low-threshold offer for hikers - a place to eat packed lunches, warm up, and browse books. Each cabin has a Nynorsk hiking library with many different books.
