Orrabu - dagsturhytte i Sogndal kommune

Orrabu is one of three day-trip cabins in Sogndal kommune. It is located on Eggjahaugane above Kleppa. From Eggjahaugane there is a view eastwards to Hermansverk town center, south/east into the fjord towards Fresvik, south to Feios and west towards Vangsnes in Vik kommune. The cabin is located at approximately 530 meters above sea level. The hike up to the day-trip cabin takes about 30 – 45 minutes from the parking lot at Kleppa if you are bringing children. There is a road to Kleppa all year round, partly gravel road. The day-trip cabin is a low-threshold offer for hikers - a place to eat their packed lunch, get a bit of warmth, and browse books. Each cabin has a Nynorsk hiking library with many different books. The project is a collaboration between Sogn og Fjordane fylkeskommune, Sparebankstiftinga / Sparebanken Sogn og Fjordane, and the municipalities themselves. Read more: Website dagsturhytta.no.
