Hytta på Skjerva

Welcome to a pleasant cabin at Skjerva! The price is NOK 700,- per day/night, and at least one person in the travel party must be a DNT member. To use the cabin, it is necessary to book it in advance. You must book the entire cabin, and for a minimum of one day/night. The cabin is unattended and locked with a DNT key. Description of the cabin: The cabin is approx. 35 m2, and has a kitchen/bedroom with a wood-burning stove and a combined living room with a sofa bed and a fireplace stove. Direct access from outside to the kitchen/bedroom (no hallway). The cabin at Skjerva is privately owned, but DNT Hadeland and the owner collaborate to focus on the sharing economy and so that members can rent cabins in attractive outdoor recreation areas. The cabin is equipped with a gas burner for cooking, a wood-burning stove and a fireplace stove for heating, and otherwise basic equipment for cooking and washing up. Gas refrigerator in the shed. No electricity. The firewood in the cabin, which you will find in the shed, is only to be used for heating in the wood-burning stoves, not for outdoor bonfires. You must bring all your own food. The cabin has candles and toilet paper, but feel free to bring a little extra. The beds have duvets, sheets, and pillows, but everyone must use their own clean sleeping bag liner and own clean pillowcase, or a clean bed linen set (sleeping bags not permitted). The beds consist of a bunk bed with 2 sleeping places measuring 90*200. The sofa in the living room is a sofa bed that functions as a double bed when pulled out and can accommodate 2 adults. Additionally, there is an extra mattress under the bunk bed that can be used. Note: There is only bed linen for 4, so if the mattress is used, you must bring your own duvet, pillow, and bed linen. There is a canoe, 2 kayaks, and a SUP (inside the shed) that you can use, hanging on the outside of the shed. There are also fishing rods for loan, and remember to buy a fishing license if you want to try your luck fishing. Fishing licenses can be purchased here: https://www.njff.no/oppland/gran/fiske. The main rule is that you should leave the cabin in the condition you wish to find it yourself, and preferably a little better than when you arrived. Check-in 2:00 PM, check-out 12:00 PM. How to use the unattended DNT cabins: Parking: You can unload equipment at the cabin, but parking is not permitted by the cabin. Parking is right across the bridge at Skjerva sag, approximately 300 meters from the cabin. Water source: Water is collected from the lake right outside the cabin, but must be boiled if it is to be drunk. We recommend bringing your own drinking water. Other info: There is an outhouse approx. 100 m behind the cabin. See picture showing its location. Skjerva Løypelag has an open cafe on weekends selling baked goods, waffles, and coffee. Free cancellation is available up to 5 days before arrival without cost. Cancellations made 0-4 days before arrival will be charged in full.
