In the old Varde Sommerland lies a fun and alternative playground. Here there is space for play for both older and younger children. In the 12-hectare natural area, there are ample opportunities for activities for the whole family. Here you will find, among other things, 6 shelters, a grill hut, a toilet building, and several natural rest areas. The area, which previously housed the amusement park, “Varde Sommerland”, now appears as a recreational nature area, with the possibility of free use of all the area’s facilities. There are five shelters that can be used all year round, and they cannot be booked in advance. From approximately April 1st to November 1st, there is access to a toilet and water at both the shelters and the grill hut. There are various areas with tables/benches. By the toilet building, you will find 2 shelters, a fire pit with firewood, and space for 15 people. In the area near the grill hut, there are 3 shelters and tables/benches. By the stream, there is one shelter. It is possible to arrive both from land and via Varde Å by, for example, canoe or kayak. The area is located along the coast-to-coast trail.
