6 shelters, grill hut, toilet building, and various “relaxation oases” in the 12 ha. large nature area. - The 12 ha. large area, which previously housed the amusement park, “Varde Sommerland”, now appears as a recreational nature area, with the possibility to freely use all the area’s facilities. There are six shelters that can be used year-round, and they cannot be booked in advance. From approx. 1/4 to 1/11, there is access to toilets and water at both shelters and the grill hut. There are different areas with tables/benches. Near the toilet building, you will find 2 shelters, a campfire pit, and space for 15-20 people and firewood. In the area, there is also a campfire hut with 3 shelters, a campfire pit, and tables/benches. By the river, there is a shelter with a view over the river and meadow. It is possible to arrive both from the land side and via Varde Å by, for example, canoe or kayak. The Coast to Coast trail passes by the area.
