In Varde Sommerland, there are a total of 6 shelters, a barbecue hut, a toilet building, and various “relaxation oases” in the 12-hectare nature area. The 12-hectare area, which previously housed the amusement park “Varde Sommerland”, now appears as a recreational nature area with the possibility to freely use all its facilities. There are six shelters that can be used all year round. They cannot be booked in advance. From approx. April 1st to November 1st, there is access to a toilet and water at both the shelters and the barbecue hut. There are various areas with tables/benches. By the toilet building, you will find 2 shelters, a campfire site with firewood, and space for 15 people. In the area near the barbecue hut, there are 3 shelters and tables/benches. It is possible to arrive both from the land side and via Varde Å by, for example, canoe or kayak. The Coast-to-Coast path passes by the area.
