Rude Skov, Shelter Ebberøddam

By the shelter, there is a fire pit with a grill and a picnic table set. Bring bags for collecting your own trash, toilet paper, and wet wipes. Leave the site clean, as you wish to find it. It is permitted to gather small wood for firewood, but if you want to be sure of dry wood, you should bring your own firewood or charcoal. It can be good to bring a small saw and a small splitting axe, as well as firelighters. Never cut into living trees! You are welcome to pitch individual smaller (2-3 person) tents on the site if there are more of you. Otherwise, follow the instructions on the information sign at the site. Pre-booking: You can book priority for an overnight stay in the shelter. You can have a maximum of two consecutive overnight stays in the shelter. Only the shelter is booked. Others can simultaneously use the facilities and pitch tents on the site and share the fire pit. Booking can be made no earlier than 3 months before the overnight stay. When booking, you must occupy the shelter before 8 PM, otherwise your priority will be forfeited. Access conditions: Parking spaces can be found along Hørsholm Kongevej. NOTE that Hørsholm Kongevej is closed to traffic well into 2026, expected until the end of August. See Rudersdal Kommune’s website for further information. During this period, parking is referred to the parking lot on Sophie Magdelenes Vej. It is not permitted to drive into the forest.
