About this spot
The campsite is intended for larger organized groups, such as associations, schools, and institutions. The site can be booked for overnight stays by groups of a minimum of 15 people. The campsite can be booked for a maximum of 4 nights. Bookings can be made no earlier than one year before the overnight stay. If the site is not booked, it can be used on a first-come, first-served basis. Here there is a shelter with fire pits, tables, and benches with space for 25-30 people. It is also possible to have horses staying overnight in the paddock adjacent to the campsite. You will typically be able to collect some firewood around the site, but if you want to be sure of dry wood, you should bring your own. There is a primitive toilet on the site. Bring your own toilet paper and possibly wet wipes. Bring firewood or a small saw for wood collected from the forest floor. However, no fresh trees may be cut down. It is possible to fish in a nearby lake. Remember a fishing license for persons over 18 years old. There are no waste bins, so remember trash bags to take your own waste home. There is no water tap on the site. It is possible to park at Hørsholm Kongevej (55.84585, 12.48182). NOTE, that Hørsholm Kongevej is closed to traffic well into 2026, expected until the end of August. See Rudersdal Kommune’s website for more information. During this period, parking is referred to the parking lot on Sophie Magdelenes Vej. It is not permitted to drive into the forest.
