Tversted Plantage - Østerklit telt og shelterplads

The site is located on a grassy plain a few hundred meters from the sea. There are 3 shelters. Two of the shelters (one 6-person and one 8-person) cannot be booked but are “first come, first served.” The last 6-person shelter - “Linnæa” - can be booked. Find the bookable shelter here on UdiNaturen. If it is not booked, it can also be used “first come, first served.” Move closer together so there is room for more. At the site, there are also fire pits with grills and picnic shelters, as well as space for tents. It is strived to provide firewood, but it cannot be guaranteed. Use the firewood thoughtfully, so there is also some for the next visitors. Extinguish the fire thoroughly after use. Toilet and water are available nearby during the summer season - in the Østerklit Stokmølle exhibition building near the site. Keep the site tidy and always take your trash with you. The site is located in connection with the West Coast Cycle Route and the North Sea Trail hiking route. From Tverstedsøerne’s parking lot, follow the road towards Østerklit - it is approx. 1 km. The shelter site is located in the southeastern part of the large plain. You must NOT drive to the site. West of Østerklit is the campsite “Dybe Rende”, which can be booked by groups or - if not booked - used “first come, first served.” Approx. 1 km east of Østerklit, there is a small tent site with a fire pit, if you are looking for a quiet place.
