Birkelund Shelter 1

Shelter site in the middle of the peaceful Vejle Ådal. The site contains 4 shelters, somewhat separated from each other. Shelters 1, 2, and 3 can be booked individually, while shelter 4 is without booking. Each shelter has room for 6-8 people, there is a shared grill and fire pit, and additionally access to a composting toilet - bring your own toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Firewood and water must be brought, but it is also allowed to gather wood for the fire pit from the forest floor on Naturstyrelsen’s areas. Shelter 1 can be booked directly via the “Book here” button or via Naturstyrelsen’s booking system. Note that your booking will be cancelled if you have not arrived at the site by 8:00 PM. If no one has booked the spot, it is available to anyone who wishes to settle down for a shorter or longer period - perhaps just for a short break around the campfire or for an overnight stay.
