It is currently permitted to sail with an electric motor on Esrum Sø, with the restriction that within a distance of 100 meters from shore, a maximum speed of 2 knots may be maintained. In Sørup, there is a slipway where you can launch boats by arrangement with the harbor master. When sailing in the southern part of the lake, be aware that Møllekrogen is designated as a bird sanctuary, and access is prohibited here. The sanctuary boundary is marked with a series of yellow buoys that must not be crossed. Pibersletten in Nødebo is closed for landing and access from April - Nov.
