Shelter, Blå Port

The shelter is located approx. 50 m from the lakeside, at the north end of Esrum lake. There is space for approx. 25 overnight guests. It is permitted to pitch a couple of smaller tents. It is approx. 1 km to the shelter from the parking lot at Frederiksværkvej. You may walk or cycle to the site, but not drive a car or moped or any other motor vehicle into the forest to the shelter site. You must bring your own water and firewood. It is permitted to collect branches from the forest floor for firewood, but you cannot be sure there is any nearby. Take good care of the shelter site and campfire site so others can also enjoy the place, and take all waste out of the forest. Extinguish the fire before you leave the shelter site. There is a primitive composting toilet close to the site.
