About this spot
The campsite in Kasmose Skov is located in the untouched part of Kasmose Skov. On the site are two 5-person shelters, positioned on top of the cliff with a view over Lillebælt. From the cliff, it is possible to see Trelle Næs in Jylland. The forest is owned by Naturstyrelsen and has been designated as an untouched forest since the early 1990s. The subsoil in Kasmose Skov consists of plastic clay. When it rains, the clay becomes soft as butter, and occasionally large sections of the cliff with trees slide into the sea. Be aware that the shelter site is located close to a steep slope down to the coast. Therefore, use common sense, stay at a safe distance from the slope, and pay special attention to ensure children do not get too close.
