Overnight shelter located on a campsite. By the shelter there is a fire ring with a grill grate and a table-bench set. At the campsite there is a primitive toilet and a water tap. The campsite is located approximately 400 m along a flat, asphalted stretch of road from the parking lot at Sandet 91, 3500 Værløse. You can book priority for overnight stays in the shelter. You can stay a maximum of two consecutive nights in the shelter. You only book the shelter. Others can simultaneously use facilities and pitch a tent on the site. Bookings can be made no earlier than 3 months before the overnight stay. When booking, you must occupy the shelter before 8 PM, otherwise your priority right is forfeited. You can pitch individual supplementary tents by the shelter. If you want to ensure dry firewood, you should bring your own dry firewood or charcoal. Spare the living trees. Motor vehicle access to the site is not allowed, and permission cannot be sought for this. Leave the site as you wish to find it. Follow the instructions on the information sign at the campsite. The shelter is named after Forsvaret’s seaplane, Catalina. Catalina planes were primarily used for tasks in Greenland, including search and rescue, support for the Sirius Patrol, reconnaissance, mapping, and aerial photography, etc.
