About this spot
Old crown forest totaling approx. 193 hectares, which is assumed to have been covered with forest since its establishment. The forest is dominated by beech and oak, and in the middle of the forest lies a raised bog, Lyngmosen. Lyngmosen is designated as untouched forest. Part of the forest borders directly on Lillebælt. The forest contains many ancient monuments - including the rampart Husvold in the northeastern part. In the southeastern corner of the forest lies a primitive tent site facing Lillebælt.
