Stenderup Sønderskov Shelter 2

Welcome to the primitive overnight accommodation site. The overnight accommodation site is open to everyone for both overnight stays and enjoying the campfire. Use and stay are free. Shelter 2 can be booked on udinaturen.dk – use the “ONLINE BOOKING” button on this page. Here you can also see if the shelter is booked by others. Booking the shelter means you have priority for this specific one - not for the entire site, which others are also welcome to use while you are here. If the site is full, you can find alternative overnight accommodation sites and areas with free tenting on udinaturen.dk. The site is suitable for setting up 3-4 smaller tents. You may stay up to two consecutive nights at the site. There is access to a composting toilet – bring your own toilet paper and hand sanitizer. If you want to ensure dry wood, you must bring your own, but it is otherwise permitted to gather wood from the forest floor for use at the campfire site. Access to the site from the land side is through Sønderskoven - but all parking must take place at one of the parking lots in the northern part of the forest. The nearest parking lot is by Seljumsvej; from there, it is approx. 1200 m to the shelter. Driving in the forest is subject to a fee/fine. It is not permitted to play loud music or create other noise that disturbs animals and other people. Take trash with you when you leave the site.
