Sommerseter

Sommerseter is an old mountain farm that consists of two cabins; Foreningshytta (sleeps 5) and Stallen (sleeps 7). The cabins are unstaffed and beautifully situated, approximately 2 km from the lake Eiangen. There is a gravel road all the way to the cabin in summer and good skiing opportunities in winter. Foreningshytta must always be booked in advance. The code for the key box will be sent by email before arrival. When renting Foreningshytta, you have exclusive use of the entire cabin. Once Foreningshytta is booked, the key to the toll barrier can be picked up at DNT Telemark’s hiking center in Torggate 15 in Skien. Stallen is locked with DNT’s standard key, and it is also possible for hikers to arrive as “drop-in” guests here. When booking Foreningshytta (which is locked with a special key), you can borrow the key to the toll barrier in summer. This key is picked up at the hiking center in Skien: remember to check our opening hours. This allows you to drive all the way to the door.
