Nakkebruna - dagsturhytta i Volda kommune

The day-trip cabin in Volda kommune has been named Nakkebruna and is well-suited as a hiking destination for families with children. The day-trip cabin is located by the path to Ytrehornsnakken, and has a good view towards Hornindalsvatnet, Grodås, and into Hornindal. The name comes from the mountain ridge Nakkebruna which is located just below the cabin. The day-trip cabin is just a stone’s throw from the route of the Hornindal Rundt trail, and the ascent mainly follows the trail route. The cabin is located at approximately 190 meters. The hike up takes about 30 minutes at a leisurely pace from the school parking lot. The day-trip cabin is a low-threshold offer for hikers - a place to eat their packed lunch, get a bit of warmth, and browse books. Each cabin has a Nynorsk hiking library with many different books.
