Gulakvila - dagsturhytta i Gulen

The day-trip cabin in Gulen kommune is called Gulakvila and is located on Løypingåsen. This is an easy hike suitable for everyone, both children and elderly. The cabin is close to a hub for many hiking trails further up into higher mountains. There is a moderate ascent, good and clear hiking trails that are well-maintained and well-marked. It is not adapted for strollers or wheelchairs. When you arrive at Gulakvila, you look into Gulafjorden and out over the islands facing the sea. You have a good overview of Eivindvik town center and the residential area. The cabin is located at 149 meters above sea level. From the municipal building to Gulakvila, the hike takes approx. 30-45 minutes for an adult at a normal hiking pace. The day-trip cabin is a low-threshold offer for hikers - a place to eat their packed lunch, get a bit of warmth, and browse books. Each cabin has a Nynorsk hiking library with many different books. The project is a collaboration between Sogn og Fjordane fylkeskommune, Sparebankstiftinga / Sparebanken Sogn og Fjordane, and the municipalities themselves.
