Dagsturhytta Haugaro is located at 284 meters above sea level in Viksdalen and is one of five day-trip cabins in Sunnfjord Kommune. At the cabin you have a view over Viksdalen town center, as well as Råheimsdalen with the idyllic Lauvavatnet as an eye-catcher. The day-trip cabin is a low-threshold offer for hikers - a place to eat their packed lunch, get a bit of warmth, and browse books. Each cabin has a Nynorsk hiking library with many different books. The project is a collaboration between Sogn og Fjordane fylkeskommune, Sparebankstiftinga / Sparebanken Sogn og Fjordane, and the municipalities themselves.
