See an overview of all accommodation options at Sæteren Gård here. Uglebu is a bright and pleasant cabin, nicely and sheltered located in the forest at idyllic Sæteren Gård. The cabin was renovated in 2024. Accommodation facilities The cabin is well suited for four people. There is an option to use mattresses in the loft, as well as the sofa bench in the living room. There are duvets and pillows in the cabin for four people. Sleeping bag liner/bedding must be brought by yourself. It is not permitted to use sleeping bags in the cabin. Equipment Uglebu does not have running water or electricity, but there is a good wood-burning stove in the kitchen, and a fireplace and wood-burning stove in the living room. Wood shed and outdoor toilet in immediate vicinity. In the kitchen, there is a gas hob for cooking and necessary equipment. Water Water is available at the main courtyard 500 m from the cabin. Booking Uglebu is unstaffed and booked as a single unit. The cabin is available from 2 PM on the day of arrival until 2 PM on the day of departure. The Tourist Association’s cabins are used for outdoor recreation, and it is not permitted to have parties in the cabin. The main rule is that you should leave the cabin in the condition you would wish to find it, and preferably a little better than when you arrived. Necessary cleaning equipment is available in the cabin. Dog If you plan to bring a dog, you must book Spettehytta instead. Spettehytta is the only cabin at Sæteren Gård where dogs are allowed. About Sæteren Gård Sæteren Gård is the children’s own hiking spot in Bærumsmarka. The place is owned and operated by DNT Oslo og Omegn. With us, you will find an activity tower, obstacle course, large sandpit, willow labyrinth, bird’s nest swings, stilts, toboggan run, and a large outdoor play area. Children can also go on an adventure on the fairy tale trail, or greet the chickens living on the farm. Sæteren Gård is a well-suited destination for day visitors and also has many accommodation options. Activities are seasonal. Café Farm café serving homemade cinnamon buns, waffles, open-faced sandwiches, coffee, and soft drinks, among other things. The café is open Wednesdays 11 AM-2 PM, and Saturdays and Sundays 11 AM-4 PM. Opening hours and selection may vary during school holidays; see updated information here. Food service In addition to the café’s offerings, we serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner for children’s groups, businesses, and companies. Minimum group size is 15 people. Subject to availability. Organized activities To make your stay at Sæteren Gård even more exciting, we offer various activity programs with skilled activity leaders for groups over 15 people. Choose between climbing and freefall jumps in the activity tower, zipline, archery, and mega slingshot, as well as simple orienteering with fun group tasks along the way.
