Varøy - Dagsturhytta i Haugesund kommune

Haugesund municipality’s first day-trip cabin is located on beautiful Vibrandsøy, a short boat trip from Haugesund center. The trip is two km long, including the boat trip from Indre kai. The day-trip cabin is located 12 meters above sea level. On Vibrandsøy, you follow the gravel road north from the quay through old farmyards. The trip goes from a quay, over a path on a grassy plain. It is possible to push a stroller here, but wheelchairs, walkers, and similar mobility aids may find it difficult to pass. The road ends after you pass the last house, and you continue on a path through grazing land. When you pass the bridge, you are on Varøy. The last hill up to the cabin can be a bit steep, but it is not long. Dagsturhytta Rogaland is a collaborative project between all municipalities in Rogaland, Sparebankstiftelsen SR-Bank, and Rogaland county municipality.
