Hammersholm

The campsite is very primitive and is located directly on the forest floor - there are very basic facilities such as a fire pit and a reasonably flat forest floor. The campsite is open to everyone for both overnight stays and enjoying the campfire. Use and stay are free. The spot operates on a first-come, first-served basis. There is space for 2-3 small tents at the spot. Overnight stays are limited to two nights at the spot. You are welcome to light fires at existing fire pits. You may collect wood for the fire in the surrounding forest and thicket. Remember to check for any fire bans. Extinguish the fire thoroughly after use, ensuring no embers remain, or stay until the fire has completely burned out. The nearest toilet with water is at the bus and handicapped parking area by Hammershus Besøgscenter, approx. 900 meters away. A water tap is located on the outer wall of a building at Hammersholm farm, approx. 100 meters south of the tent site. It is not permitted to play loud music or create other noise that disturbs animals and other people. Take your trash with you when you leave the spot. The spot is located along Højlyngsstien and is easily accessible for hikers on the trail. If you arrive by car, you can park at the parking lot on Langebjergvej. Spot coordinates: 55.277957, 14.767362
