Kauslunde Å

The shelter site at Kauslunde Ås’ outflow into Storebælt is part of the Blue Support Points shelter concept, where you can stay overnight in new modern and coastal shelters all the way around Fyn. The shelter site is located very close to the beach, but with a country road in between that must be crossed, so watch out for cars. The beach is a bit coarse-grained, and if you are considering a swim, we recommend doing so at least 50 meters south of the site, to maintain an approx. 200-meter distance from the river mouth. From the shelters, there is an excellent west-facing view over the flat meadows around Kauslunde Å. Here there is rich birdlife. A composting toilet is associated with the site, but there is no access to drinking water. The shelter must be booked at www.bookenshelter.dk, and it costs DKK 30/person/night.
