About this spot
The shelter is well-suited for canoeists and kayakers arriving via Mølleåen, but everyone is welcome to use it. In addition to the shelter, there are fire pits with grills, a water tap with drinking water, and a primitive toilet. Bring toilet paper and wet wipes. Water tap open from April 15th until and including week 42 in Oct. Directions: Entrance from Strandvejen via Strandmøllevej. Follow the road 200 m under the coastal railway and further north to the parking lot. Use a trolley or similar for luggage if necessary. You can book priority for an overnight stay in the shelter. You can stay a maximum of two consecutive nights in the shelter. Only the shelter can be booked. Others can simultaneously use the facilities and pitch tents on the site. Booking can be made at the earliest 3 months before the overnight stay. When booking, you must occupy the shelter before 8 PM, otherwise your priority right lapses. You may set up a few supplementary tents by the shelter. You will typically be able to gather some firewood around the site, but if you want to be sure of dry firewood, you should bring your own dry firewood or charcoal. Protect living trees. Motorized access to the site is not permitted, and no permission can be sought for this. Leave the site as you would wish to find it. Follow instructions on the information sign at the campsite. The campsite was kindly established with support from the company Friluftsland. https://www.friluftsland.dk/blog/guide-oversigt-overnatning-i-shelter-i-danmark/
