Naturrum Russerbakkehus

The nature room is located adjacent to the caretaker’s residence, Russerbakkehus. The room is the size of a classroom, has tables and chairs, a toilet, and a small kitchenette. Expect it to be primitive. The room can be used by organized groups for teaching, meetings, lectures, as a break or meeting point, etc., which fall within the Danish Nature Agency’s operational areas of nature and outdoor life. The room is not an open lunchroom/shelter - it is locked - and use requires booking here. The room cannot be booked/used by private individuals. Parking is not allowed at the nature room. Use the parking lot on Russerbakkevej. One car per event can drive to the nature room to load and unload materials, but must return to the parking lot for parking. Unfortunately, booking can currently only be done from 12 PM to 12 PM. If, for example, the room is needed on Tuesday morning from 8 AM-12 PM, Monday must be booked. If the room is needed for the entire Tuesday, both Monday and Tuesday must be booked. Regardless of booking, overnight stays in or adjacent to the nature room are not permitted. Reference is made to the campsite (which can be booked by groups), to tents or shelters on Skidterisletten, or to free primitive camping in the forest. Events in the nature room must end by 9 PM at the latest, and the place must be vacated (after tidying up and sweeping) by 9:30 PM at the latest. For trash beyond “a few apple cores,” you must take your trash with you. Commercial operators can use the room for the same purposes as organizations for a fee, but must book by finding “recreational nature areas” under facilities, clicking on Tornby Klitplantage, selecting “book,” and describing the event and that it pertains solely or partially to the nature room.
