About this spot
An old deciduous forest, totaling approx. 246 hectares, with Lillebælt as its neighbor. Marked trails lead through the forest along with a network of forest roads. The forest contains many different ancient relics such as burial mounds, dolmens, high-backed fields, castle mounds, and several very old oak trees. Designated as a free camping forest. In the middle of the forest lies the former forester’s house, Stenderup Strand. Close to the forester’s house is a large campfire hut with integrated shelters. The campfire hut can be booked via Book i naturen.
