About this spot
Grund Skov, totaling approx. 150 hectares, is very hilly and located on the north side of Vejle Fjord. The forest is dominated by beech, but also features oak, ash, maple, and coniferous trees. Parking lots at the northeast end of the forest and a network of forest roads provide good access to the forest. Enclosed dog park right by the parking lot, as well as Røde Lade with access to covered tables and benches. By the coast, the old Træskohage Lighthouse, which functions as a bird/observation tower. The forest belt along the coast is designated as untouched forest. The entire forest is designated as a free camping forest.
