About this spot
The tent site is located above Vingsted at the edge of vegetation facing an open area. Here is a fireplace with a grill. If you want to be sure of dry wood, you must bring your own, but it is otherwise permitted to gather wood from the forest floor for use at the fireplace. Access to toilet and water at the toilet building in connection with the Iron Age village. You will find the site by following Bindeballestien from Vingsted Centeret east to the parking lot. From here, a sign points towards the tent site. The tent site cannot be booked. Access is on a “first come, first served” basis. On the areas by Vingsted Sø, reconstructed houses from the Iron Age have been built. Vingsted Historiske Værksted operates and uses the area for teaching schoolchildren. The area is publicly accessible, but show general consideration, and especially if teaching is taking place.
