The forest is very diverse because the soil in some places is very nutrient-poor and in other places rich in minerals. Therefore, you can experience everything from lush beech forest to heather and scattered birch trees and a very varied wildlife. In the forest, there are many paths and good opportunities for horse riding and cycling. Water can be fetched at Virkethus, where there is also a public toilet.
