About this spot
Free camping in Østerild dune plantation. Østerild Plantation has large open areas with rich flora, such as Plettet Gøreurt, and on late summer evenings, the purring song of the nightjar is heard, but it is rarely seen. The forests consist of classic tree species belonging to the dune heath, such as Scots pine and Sitka spruce, but large groups of deciduous trees are also found in Østerild Klitplantage.
