About this spot
Campsites are reserved for groups of 15 people and more. This is also a criterion for being able to book the campsite. At this campsite, there are 3 shelters, with space for 5-6 people in each. Furthermore, you are welcome to pitch smaller (2-3 person) tents at the campsite if there are more of you. In addition to the three shelters, there is a campfire site with a grill and several table-bench sets. There is a primitive composting toilet. Bring your own toilet paper and possibly wet wipes. The composting toilet is located 250m north of the site. There is no waste container. Therefore, bring trash bags to take your own waste home. Leave the site as you would wish to find it. It is permitted to gather small dry wood from the forest floor for use in the fire ring. For this, it is good to bring a small saw and a small splitting axe and firelighters. Never saw living trees. Alternatively, bring barbecue charcoal. Otherwise, follow the instructions on the information sign at the campsite. Advance booking: You can book preferential right to overnight stay at the campsite including campfire site etc. You can book a maximum of two consecutive nights. Booking can be made up to 1 year before the overnight stay at the earliest. When booking, you must occupy the campsite before 8 PM, otherwise your preferential right expires. Access conditions: To access the campsite, one must cross Ermelundssletten. Ermelundssletten is also used as a horse pasture, which you must pass through to reach the campsite. Around the campsite, there is a fence to keep the horses out of your sleeping bag. Be aware that the fence is electric. Motor vehicle access to the site is not permitted, and permission for this cannot be sought. It is part of the sport to hike there. Possibly use a trolley or similar for packing.
