About this spot
The campsite is located directly adjacent to Plantagevej. There is a small gravel area by the road for loading and unloading. The campsite has 3 shelters, each with space for approximately 8 people. It is permitted to pitch tents on the campsite, but parts of the area may be damp. The site can only be booked by groups such as school classes or scout groups. When not booked, the site can be used on a “first-come, first-served” basis. Move closer together to make space for more. On the site, there is drinking water (in summer), a composting toilet, a fire pit, and picnic tables. Efforts are made to provide firewood, but it cannot be guaranteed. Use firewood thoughtfully so there is enough for the next visitors. Extinguish the fire thoroughly. Help keep the site neat and clean and always take your waste with you. Not far from the campsite are Kærene – one of Denmark’s largest and most untouched bog areas. The Danish Nature Agency’s areas are grazed by Galloway cattle, which do their best to keep the bog areas open and bright.
