In 2020, the site was named Denmark’s best shelter site by VisitDanmark. At the site, there is a shelter of the “Stenbidder” type in the “øhavsshelter” series. The shelter has room for 5 people. Regarding drinking water, ask local users of the area or bring your own. If needed, locals can offer spring water in 2 L plastic bottles at cost price. There is a primitive toilet at this shelter site. Bring toilet paper. The shelter must be booked on www.bookenshelter.dk. If the shelter is booked, you can use the small tent site on the opposite side of the access road to the water. The shelter is run and maintained by a local user group.
