Nyholm - Arla Øko Shelter

Welcome to Arla® ØKO Shelters. This shelter site, located at Nyholm, is situated in beautiful nature in the Brande area. Nyholm is an old family farm with history dating back to 1866. Nyholm is owned by Flemming, who was born and raised on the farm and has managed it since 1995. For the past 18 years, Nyholm has been run organically, and the herd consists of 160 organic dairy cows, heifers, and calves, all of whom graze throughout the summer. Nyholm also manages 285 hectares of land, as well as 75 hectares of forest and natural areas. On the fields, grass, rye, barley, wheat, and oats are cultivated, primarily used as feed for the cows. Brande is a town in Central Jutland with 7,521 inhabitants, located 12 km southwest of Ejstrupholm, 14 km northwest of Give, 26 km south of Herning, and 26 km south of Ikast. The town belongs to Ikast-Brande Municipality and is located in the Central Denmark Region. The Arla® ØKO shelter site is fully equipped with a shelter, benches, and a fire pit. All you need to bring is your sleeping bag, firewood, and curiosity for nature. Close to the Arla® ØKO shelter, there is a parking lot, and from there, a path leads through the field to the shelter. From the parking lot, it’s approximately 40 meters through slightly hilly terrain. Number of shelters: 1. Number of sleeping spots: 4-(5) persons. Drinking water: No. Toilet: No, the nearest toilet is 3 km away (Brande Church), and otherwise, toilet access is 12 km away at Hastrup Plantage. Tables & benches: Yes, with space for 4 persons. Fire pit: Yes, but you must bring your own firewood. Tents: No, pitching tents is not permitted. Rules for using the shelter site: Remember to extinguish the fire. Use the trash can. Keep the shelter site neat and clean. Avoid unnecessary noise. Music is not allowed. Animals are welcome but must be kept on a leash. Animals must not be fed or scared. Important: You must not have been abroad within the last 48 hours before visiting a farm, as you could bring animal diseases to Denmark.
