Nyrup Hegn is located approx. 5 km southwest of Helsingør and is a 244 ha forest dominated by coniferous forest but also with large old sections of beech forest. An old royal road from the late 1500s is an impressive historical testament to the royal family’s presence in North Zealand – the road connected Kronborg Slot with Frederiksborg Slot.
