It is 9.8 km to Nørreskifte harbor with a ferry to Kalundborg. Bisgaard Forte is Samsø’s open common – a gathering place in nature for everyone who desires a greener leisure and outdoor life. The outdoor area has a path around the grounds, shelters, a waterhole, a shielded gathering room/outdoor classroom, shelter signs with info about the site’s history, and an outdoor kitchen with 80 dining seats. Currently, there is only access to water and a toilet during the spring, summer, and autumn seasons. There is access to shelters and electricity all year round. There are many tall trees and good shelter on the grounds. The 4 shelters are positioned in slightly different directions, offering the opportunity to choose what suits one best.
