Hoppes Bålhus

Large campfire house with a grill in the middle and integrated shelter spaces. Space for 25 sleeping guests. Tables and benches under cover. Access to a compost toilet - bring your own toilet paper and hand sanitizer. The campfire house is located at the edge of a small grove in the young Hoppes Skov and close to Svanemosen. It is a young forest, so there isn’t much wood on the forest floor for use on the campfire - therefore, bring your own wood to be sure. The campfire house/shelter must be booked via Naturstyrelsen’s website: www.nst.dk or by clicking “Book lejrplads” (Book campsite) under Hoppes Shelter. If no one has booked the spot, it is available to anyone who wishes to settle down for a shorter or longer period - perhaps just for a short break around the campfire or for an overnight stay. The parking lot at Tværford 25 is no longer available. Similarly, there is no parking lot or access to the bird tower or shelter site via Sangfuglevej. Instead, use Parkeringsplads Hoppeshave (Hoppeshave Parking Lot) by Tværford.
