Vest Stadil Fjord

In the middle of the large nature restoration project Vest Stadil Fjord, a barbecue area has been established. The site is located opposite Bjerg Thomsens Jagthytte. Drive along road 181 and turn onto Skelmosevej, which is followed for approx. 1.5 km. On one side of the road is Bjerg Thomsens Jagthytte. Here you can find information about birdlife and visit the Jagthytte. On the opposite side of the road, you will find covered information boards, an accessible toilet, 2 picnic table sets, and a barbecue area. 700 m further away, another parking lot with a picnic table set is found. Follow the sign “udkigstårnet 500 m”; here you will find a small black wooden house with a thatched roof, a bird hide with a table and benches, and hatches at different heights with a fantastic view over the fjord’s birdlife.
