Randbøl Hede is one of the country’s largest inland heaths. At the northern end of the heath, an east-west-running dune ridge rises 17 m above the heathland (Staldbakkerne) and provides a good overview. The old Hærvej trail, Vorbasse Studevej, crosses the heath. A marked trail connects Staldbakkerne with Kirstinelyst on the eastern side of the heath. At the eastern end of the heath lies Naturrum Kirstinelyst, which houses an exhibition about the heath, covered packed lunch facilities, shelters, and horse enclosures.
