Ganløse Eged, shelterplads med to shelters

Choose this site if you are a slightly larger group (10-12) needing 2 shelters. Others also have the right to use any empty shelter or pitch a tent at the site. In addition to the shelters, the site has a fire pit with a grill and two table-bench sets. There is no toilet and no waste container. Bring plastic bags for taking your own trash home, toilet paper, and wet wipes. Leave the site as you would wish to find it. It is permitted to gather small dry wood from the forest floor for use in the fire ring. For this, it’s good to bring a small saw, a small splitting axe, and firelighters. Never cut into living trees. Alternatively, bring charcoal. You can set up a few additional tents by the shelter. Otherwise, follow the instructions on the information sign at the campsite. Advance booking: You can book priority for overnight stays in the shelters. See further down the page. You can stay a maximum of two consecutive nights in the shelters. Bookings can be made no earlier than 3 months before the overnight stay. You only book the shelters. Others can simultaneously use the fire pit and table-bench area and pitch a tent at the site. When booking, you must occupy the shelters before 8 PM, otherwise your priority will be forfeited. Access: The shelter site is located near Mølleåstien between Farum and Ølstykke Stations and can be reached, among other ways, via the forest road Småsøerne. If you come by car, parking is available at Lyngevej 97, 3660 Stenløse. Motor vehicle access to the site is not permitted, and no permission can be sought for this. It is part of the experience to hike there. Optionally use a trolley or similar for your luggage.
