About this spot

Davinde Lake is located in the large outdoor recreation area Tarup-Davinde southeast of Odense. Here, former gravel pits are being transformed into nature. Among other things, gravel for the construction of the Great Belt Bridge and the Svendborg motorway was extracted from Davinde Lake. On the north side of the lake, a shallow water zone has been established where children can swim safely and securely. Elsewhere in the lake, the depth varies between 6 and 12 meters. The bottom water in the lake is cold all year round, so be careful. Because the lake has no inflow, the water is very clean. Davinde Lake therefore received the ‘Badepunkt’ quality label in 2019. You can also canoe and fish in the lake. There are campfire sites, a shelter, and a toilet by the lake, and in Tarup-Davinde there are many nice hiking and riding trails. The address for the lake is Davinde Søvej 7, 5220 Odense SØ.
